This policy covers gordonkit.com and every GordonKit service listed below. None of them ask you to create an account, and none of them collect personal data. What they do measure, and what stays on your own device, is described here in full.
What we do not collect
No accounts, no forms, no newsletter sign-ups. There is nowhere on these sites to submit personal information, so there is no name, email address, password or payment detail to lose.
No advertising networks, no social media widgets, and nothing you type into a page is sent anywhere.
We do not sell or share what we measure.
Usage measurement
gordonkit.com and GordonKit Math use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages get opened. That is how we decide what to build next.
Google receives the usual web request details: the page address, a rough location derived from the network, and the kind of device and browser. It is not tied to a name, and no account of yours is involved.
What stays in your browser
Your colour theme and preferred language are saved in this browser using localStorage. These values never leave your device and are never sent to any server.
GordonKit Math additionally keeps your learning record in the same way: which topics you have finished, the learner name and avatar you chose, and your grade level. None of it is uploaded, so it does not follow you to another device, and the Progress page can clear it at any time.
Clearing your browser data removes all of it, and each site returns to following your system theme.
Server logs
These sites are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, the platform processes standard request information such as IP address and user agent in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not have access to a per-visitor analytics view and do not build profiles from it.
GordonKit YouTube Uploader
GordonKit YouTube Uploader is an internal tool that publishes GordonKit Math animations to the GordonKit YouTube channels through the YouTube Data API. It is authorized only by the people who run GordonKit, and it uploads only to channels they own.
Its access to Google user data is limited to uploading videos and setting their thumbnails on those channels. It reads no personal data, touches no other Google service, and no visitor to these sites is ever asked to sign in to it.
Its credentials are held by the maintainers and are never stored in a public repository or sent to any third party.
External services
Links to GitHub, YouTube and other sites take you outside GordonKit. Each of those services has its own privacy policy, which applies once you follow the link.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Substantive changes will also be noted in the Latest Updates section on the home page.
